However, there are also a number of challenges that need to be overcome before autonomous vehicles can become mainstream. One of the main challenges is the cost and complexity of the technology, as it requires a lot of specialized hardware and software. Additionally, there are concerns about the safety of autonomous vehicles, particularly in situations where they encounter unexpected events or obstacles. Finally, there are legal and regulatory hurdles that need to be addressed, as governments around the world are still working to figure out how to handle autonomous vehicles on the road.


Despite these challenges, it's clear that electric cars and autonomous vehicles are the future of transportation. While we still have a ways to go before these technologies are fully mainstream, they have already made significant progress and are starting to change the way we think about transportation.
